Yishmail, Eisav, and Israel

Most people are miffed about current events. Why is there so much turmoil? Why can’t there be peace? The Torah is the blueprint to the Creation. It is flawless and perfect in every way. It contains in it all past events and all future events. There is nothing left out. There are three central characters and later nations/peoples that find their source in the Torah. These nations or peoples are in existence today and their connection to one another is based upon their source in the Torah. If we look at the Torah as a series of code or better yet code precisely for the running of the universe then just like a particular code always works the same so too certain paradigms within the Creator’s blueprint will always work the same way.

The sages have pointed out that the spiritual heirs of Eisav (Jacob’s twin brother) was Rome, which morphed into Christendom and now is largely made up of the Western world and the culture it has spawned. The sages also pointed out that the Arabs and the cultures that spawned from them are the embodiment of Yishmael (Yitchok’s half brother and uncle to Jacob). All three Yishmael, Eisav, and Israel are decendents of Abraham. The present wars and battles both physical and spiritual stem from this reality and need to be understood by way of understanding these peoples and their cultural expressions of G-dliness.

Yishmael: Known in the Torah as Para-Adam פרה-אדם or Beast Man. This needs to be understood from a deeper perspective to keep from misapplying the description on the present day Arabs or Yishmaelites. When we see the word Adam (אדם) we see three letters in the Hebrew. א is the letter connecting to the infinite as its numerical value is one. ד is the letter that connects to the four elements of this world: earth, fire, water, air. ם is one of the letter that is completely closed, which the sages indicate means it represents otherworldliness or the world to come. The purpose of Adam (אדם) is to uplift the physical world revealing the G-dliness inherently embedded in it. The word parah (פרה) or beast indicates wildness, but when connected to the above description of the word Adam (אדם) the connotation changes the meaning and provides for a better understanding of the modern Yishmael. They are conduits for G-dliness, but their path to this mission can be erratic and uncontrollable. In Kabbalah they represent the sefirah of Gevurah or strict justice/constriction.

Eisav: As the Torah indicates Eisav cut himself of from the birthright due to him. He claimed he didn’t need it. This cut himself off from the role of Adam (אדם). We see this reflected in modern day western culture which draws its foundations from Christianity. Christianity ultimately believes that this world is a world of sin and all effort must be focused on getting to the next world. Christianity effectively disconnects the two worlds. The Western culture has followed suit by pushing for a world without divine law–replaced by divine love = subjective morality = anything goes/ no boundaries. In Hebrew this is know as Olam HaHefker (עולם ההפקר). They match up to the sefirah of Chesed or unchecked kindness/expansion.

Israel: The children Jacob. Bearers of the Torah and the eternal covenant. They are also know as Adam (אדם) but with no appendage. Their role is to balance and to reveal in the dark world around us the G-d consciousness that flows through out it. Israel along with the Children of Noach use the Torah to build the next age. The age of redemption and a rectified universe where spirit and flesh are in perfect balance–the age of the Adam(אדם). The sefirah that they are reflected through is Tiferet or mercy/balance between expansion and constriction.

With the start of another year almost upon the world may all the people of the world including the three nations/peoples mentioned above return to the blueprint of Creation, the Torah and unite Heaven and Earth with its words and restore the world to its proper consciousness.

Land, Nation, and Law

For two millenia the Nation of Israel has wandered–homeless, landless. The exile took its toll, changing the Nation of G-d into a religion, a dogma like any other. There was Law (Torah) and there were people who followed it, but the Nation fizzled. Without land it is impossible to continue as a nation in the eyes of the world and the idea of religious culture with binding laws took hold. The Land of Israel yearned for its Nation to return long after the Nation turned the idea of a return into a mere dream, not to be taken seriously. The Law (Torah) of the exile was only that-Law. Without a true worldly expression Nation and Law suffered from an inner sort of disease pushing the dream of redemption into a vault, not to be unlocked until some unbearable time.

In Tanach (the bible) Rachel (one of the matriarchs of the Nation of Israel) cries for her children in exile. It is her tears that have drawn the Nation home to its Land. The Land has welcomed the Nation back, giving it fruits from its soil, nursing the nation back to health.

The Sages have said the Land of Israel, the Nation of Israel, and the Torah of Israel are intrinsically linked to one another, meaning when the Nation is weak then its hold on the Land is weakened and its comprehension of the Torah is left incomplete. When its hold on the Land is incomplete then its grasp of the Torah is incomplete and the Nation is weakened. When its Torah is left incomplete then the Nation is weakened and its hold on the Land is left weakened and incomplete. The word Echad (אחד) “one” in hebrew equals 1012 when the letter alef(א) is taken out and spelled out (אלף). Which is the same word as the hebrew word for 1000. 1012 is also the numerical equivalent of עם, תורה,ארץ Land, Torah, Nation in Hebrew. The faster the Nation of Israel and the world understand the link between these three things the faster the redemptive process of our world can return to its proper trajectory.

The Redemption of Noach

The idea of religion and religious observance being or belonging to a select few goes against the belief system expressed in the Torah. The Torah cannot be said to be simply a tool for the Jewish people if it is going to be described as a blueprint for the entire creation. There has always been two acceptable pathways to serving the Creator, but before they can be presented an observation on how the reality we live in appears to work needs to be discussed.

There is a constant give/receiver relationship embedded throughout reality. Examples of this reside in male/female, teacher/student, and water/earth relationships. There are many more and this form of relationship also categorizes the relationship of G-d and humanity as well as Israel and the nations. Clearly G-d is the giver and humanity is the receiver. The supernal Torah is the blueprint in which the Creator en-wraps his essence, imparting it upon the world at large. The Creator implanted in the world two distinct paths. One path began after the flood and imparted to the remainder of humanity led by Noach and his family. To Noach and his descendants the Creator formed a covenant or pact binding them to 7 mitzvot or channels to rebuild the world and continue its spiritual and physical growth. These mitzvot can be seen as containers or spiritual enablers. They allow the world we live in to be refined to the point where it can contain the G-dliness it was designed for. The 7 mitzvot are:

1. Believe in one G-D , Do not worship idols
2.Respect G-D and praise Him , Do not blaspheme
3.Respect human life , Do not commit murder
4.Respect the rights of others and their property , Do not steal
5.Respect the sanctity of the family, do not commit incest or adultery
6.Respect all living creatures , Do not eat the flesh taken from a living animal
7.Establish courts of Justice , Pursue Justice

The second path began with Avraham Avinu (Abraham) and was cemented at Mount Sinai with a covenant between the Creator and the People of Israel. There they were given instructions of a different sort. 613 mitzvot serve as channels to draw and maintain G-d consciousness in this world. Later the Sanhedrin, the word for the official body of representation in ancient Israel added 7 more mitzvot numbering the total to 620. Using gematria which is a number system based on Hebrew, 620=keter (כתר) the Hebrew word for “Crown.” The kingship of the Creator is revealed through the actions of the Nation of Israel does. Of course when these action are in opposition to the G-d consciousness the Creator’s kingship is hidden, but when these mitzvot or channels are fully implemented then the Creator’s presence and kingship are truly revealed for the whole creation to experience. The Nation of Israel and the nations of the world both on different, but harmonious paths form the necessary giver/receiver relationship.

The current transition from one world to the next is likened to a flood by the sages. Instead of a physical flood, the flood that is now being experience is one of atheism, nihilism, and sexual promiscuity. This flood is one of confusion whose outcome has produced sleep-a sort of lonely trance seemingly without end. Yet we know the Hebrew word for “confusion” is bilbul (בילבול) and this shares the same root as the hebrew word for “flood” which is mobul(מבול). Just like the 7 mitzvot of Noach prepared the rest of the nations of humanity to receive the G-d consciousness contained in the Torah given to the Nation of Israel at Mount Sinai, so to as the present nations of the world return to the path left for Noach and his descendants, they will be better receivers of the supernal Torah as the Nation of Israel returns to its true path by returning the keter or crown of the Creator to its designated place–our world.

Hear Oh Israel

As the world seems to be shifting uncontrollably into a new age with all predetermined assumptions thrown off course, ancient stirrings have begun to surface. Since the rebirth of the modern state of Israel the world has begun to shift it’s central axis towards the Land of Israel–the Land of the Bible. The People of Israel’s role in the world is one of rectification. The Creator gave Israel an instruction manual to uplift the physical through drawing their internal eternal consciousness outward. This instruction manual, known as Torah in this world is nothing other than pure G-d consciousness wrapped up in the words of man. As we delve into its language we become enveloped in the eternity of the Creator’s wisdom thus revealing that part of ourselves which is beyond space and time. This is the mission of the People of Israel and with the beginning of its return to its homeland its task becomes more serious. It appears that the State of Israel which seemingly represents the People of Israel to the world ignores it’s predesignated orders, rather it seeks to transform the People of Israel into a mere nation amongst the world populace–with its own language, religion, and customs. Yet the Creator has a blueprint for its creation and that blueprint requires the People of Israel to finish the rectification process. In Parshat Trumah in the book of Shemot (in the western world its known as the book of Exodus) the Creator of the world orders the Nation of Israel to “Build me a sanctuary so I can dwell amongst you.” This verse remains the backbone and purpose behind the G-d consciousness embedded in the Torah. With the return of Israel to its proper role the transition between the world that was and the world we are witnessing being birthed will be less rocky.

The World Begins Again

After much thought I have decided to start a blog. The world is a confusing place. Sometimes dark, but there are many patches of light to show us how to navigate it. Many people in the world are beginning to feel inner stirrings as if something in reality is beginning to shift and change. The world seems to be out of control. Technology advances without limit. Wars abound. Societal norms are breaking down. What is truth? What is falsehood? Where is this all going? There is an attempt by the masses to hide away from it all, through entertainment, both on-line and off-line, but no matter what the nagging continues. This blog will seek to bring and focus a particular thread of consciousness into reality with the hope of uplifting at first a small group of people and as this group builds I hope that the ideas and knowledge displayed here will be able to raise up as much of humanity as possible.
